Drawing on her journey and lived experience, Carolina blends together justice, healing, and mindfulness to design transformative experiences that cultivate growth, connection, and resilience. Through her work, she supports the dismantling of systems of oppression at individual, collective, and institutional levels, helping communities and leaders embody meaningful change.

Carolina’s Story

Latinx Immigrant, Mindfulness Teacher, Speaker & Consultant

Carolina Bautista-Velez was born in Cali, Colombia, and migrated to the United States at the age of 22. As a Latinx immigrant and social change practitioner, she has dedicated her life to weaving together social justice and healing practices. Her early work as a student activist in Colombia shaped her commitment to social transformation, alongside her academic studies in psychology.

For more than two decades in the United States, Carolina has worked across a range of fields including domestic and sexual violence prevention, human trafficking response, refugee resettlement, community organizing, coalition building, language justice, Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging (DEIB), trauma-informed care, healing justice, mental health, and mindfulness.

Carolina is a mindfulness teacher, speaker, consultant, and mentor whose work lives at the intersection of healing and justice. She collaborates with individuals, communities, and organizations to create spaces for deep dialogue, transformative learning, and embodied practices that support personal and collective healing. Through her work, Carolina helps cultivate compassion, resilience, and the capacity to move toward more just and liberated communities.
